The short answer: there isn’t one fixed price — even for extensions with the same square footage
The cost can change significantly depending on:

* Ground conditions and foundations
* Structural steel required
* Windows, bifolds and rooflights
* Kitchen or bathroom installation
* Plumbing and electrics
* Flooring and finishes* Access to the property
Two extensions can be exactly the same size but cost very different amounts depending on the specification and work involved.
That’s why when comparing builders, it’s important not to look at the bottom-line figure alone.
A cheaper quote may simply have more things excluded.
The question to ask isn’t just “How much is it?” — it’s “What exactly am I getting for that price?”
